Six districts in Zambezia province are hosting public consultation meetings over the month-end as part of the preparations for high resolution three-dimensional (3D) seismic surveying in the Angoche Basin.
The cost of the surveys, commissioned by the National Petroleum Institute (INP), the regulatory authority of the hydrocarbon sector in Mozambique, was not disclosed.
A note made public this week only indicates that “Geopartners Ltd and its local representative Leonardo Green Lda, based on an agreement with the National Petroleum Institute (INP), intend to carry out a 3D seismic acquisition program in the Angoche Basin, Zambezia province”.
