A shark found washed ashore on Maverano beach, in the district headquarters of Pebane, in Zambézia, turned out to contain human remains.
The incident was confirmed by the National Institute of the Sea (INAMAR) delegate in Pebane, Eliseu Cumbane.
The source suspects that the shark, found last Friday, has attacked a fisherman at sea.
“The information I had is that the shark was washed ashore, and a multi-sectoral team, including SERNIC, that was there, opened up the animal and inside discovered a human foot, and a hook,” Cumbane said.
