The Governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo, on Monday (02-09) inaugurated four classrooms at the Namalala Primary School in Mocimboa da Praia district.
Their construction was made possible by financial support from the Rwandan force, within the scope of the brotherly relations between the two countries.
The four classrooms have the capacity to accommodate 500 students. The school currently has 122 students, to date studying under the trees.
“We would like to express our special gratitude to the Rwandan Forces for their support in building this school infrastructure, a clear demonstration of brotherhood and solidarity, which will remain indelibly engraved in the hearts of each one of us,” Governor Tauabo said.
The village of Namalala is located in the border area between Mocimboa da Praia and Palma about 40 kilometres from the district headquarter towns, and is home to around 1,700 people.
