The government’s First 100 Days Plan will be fully implemented, according to the assessment of the first 54 days made by the 7th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers yesterday.
According to the government spokesperson and Minister of State Administration and Public Service, Inocêncio Impissa, the plan has 77 actions monitored by 96 indicators, of which 68 recorded a level of implementation between 50% and 100%.
Impissa noted that, 54 days after the new government took office, 18 indicators had an implementation rate between 25% and 49%, while 10 remained below 24%. Impissa explained that the actions completed include the construction of at least 20 water supply systems in the provinces of Nampula, Inhambane, Tete and Sofala, in addition to the completion of the facilities of the Provincial Court of Nampula and district courts in Cabo Delgado and Tete.
In these first 54 days, money from the Catalytic Fund was allocated to 26 small and medium enterprises, eight in Tete and Nampula, six in Cabo Delgado, two in Manica, and one each in Sofala and Zambézia.
“We can guarantee that the plan for the first 100 days will be fully implemented, because 68 indicators are above 50% and others are completed,” Impissa assured. Meanwhile, yesterday, the government approved the Government’s Five-Year Programme (PQG 2025-2029) and the National Economic Development Strategy (2025-2044), now to be submitted to the Assembly of the Republic for approval.
The PQG is a strategic instrument that defines priorities and guides the allocation of public resources, acceleration of inclusive and sustainable economic growth, diversification of the economy, rational management of natural resources to reduce poverty and social inequalities and economic independence.
Impissa noted that the PQG is based on five pillars, namely National Unity and Peace; Development of Resilient Infrastructure; Digital Transformation; Human Development, which includes social protection and improvement of quality of life; and International Cooperation.
The cabinet also assessed the damage caused by Storm Jude and the working visit of the
head of state to South Africa.
