President Nyusi, who is visiting the province of Inhambane, yesterday said the government was busy mobilising resources for a thorough overhaul of degraded sections of the N1.
Speaking during a rally in Govuro during his visit to Inhambane, the head of state acknowledged that EN1 needed major work along its whole length, and not only in the Pambara-Vila Franca do Save area.
In addition to the rehabilitation of the EN1 between Pambara and Vila Franca do Save, petitioners also cited the improved operation of the Chimunda irrigation system, the construction of a district hospital, the expansion of electric power networks and the acquisition of means of transport for the police as among their most pressing needs.
