Mozambique: Government approves procedures and mechanisms for hiring foreign citizens

The Council of Ministers this Tuesday approved the regulation of mechanisms and procedures for hiring foreign nationals.
The review aims to clarify and make the hiring regimes for foreign nationals more flexible, providing greater openness to attracting foreign investment, thus allowing the creation of more jobs without compromising the structural principle of protecting the workforce.
The Council of Ministers at its thirty-fifth ordinary session yesterday also approved the National Contingency Plan for the 2024-2025 rainy and cyclonic season.
The plan includes inter-sectoral interventions aimed at a rapid response and resilient recovery after disasters and aims to reduce the loss of human lives and the destruction of vital infrastructure in Mozambique.
