The German government will fund Zambezi Valley Agency projects in the amount of approximately €45 million, it was revealed on Wednesday by the German ambassador to Mozambique, who visited the institution’s pavilion at the 60th FACIM expo.
The Zambezi Valley Development Agency was at FACIM again, showcasing all the agribusiness and other projects it supports.
“The agency brings together all the potential of the central region, the Zambezi valley region. We bring agribusiness, tourism products, fishing products, and what we call sustainable forestry,” said Celso Cunha, director general of the Zambezi Valley Development Agency.
With all this, the agency is attracting many visitors to its pavilion and hopes its exhibitors will promote and sell their products. “Therefore, we hope our exhibitors will promote their potential and their products, sign fruitful and profitable contracts here, and also visit other booths to improve their production or processing processes, improving packaging and improving their products,” Cunha said.
Among the visitors to the Zambezi Valley Development Agency pavilion this Wednesday was the German ambassador to Mozambique, who was impressed by what he saw.
“It was very impressive. We already know that the agency plays a very important role in the development of various sectors, and we are very pleased that Germany, the German government, through its development agencies, is a partner of the Zambezi Agency, because our commitment is to facilitate the development of various sectors, especially agriculture, for the well-being of the people,” said Ronald Münch, German ambassador to Mozambique.
Germany therefore promised to continue supporting the Zambezi Valley Development Agency through its financing lines.
“These projects begin with the planning of an idea, through the development of small businesses, certification for export, and even the export of these projects. What we now have, in the planning stage, on the side of the German government, through our implementing agencies, is a large-scale project to finance the projects of the Zambezi Agency, the businesses, and a total project of €45 million,” the diplomat revealed.
The Zambezi Valley Development Agency pavilion also offered a tasting of various national dishes.
