The prices of gasoline and diesel in Mozambique fall today, the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE) has announced as part of its regular review of fuel prices.
The price calculation was based on fuel imports at the Matola, Beira, Nacala and Pemba marine terminals during September and October, ARENE reports.
“The evolution of international fuel prices and the exchange rate between the metical and the US dollar” also contributed to the reduction.
Prices per litre are as follows.
Gasoline falls from 64.22 to 62.50 meticais, diesel falls from 58.95 to 57.45 meticais, lighting oil falls from 45.24 to 43.24 meticais and compressed natural gas (CNG) falls from 30.35 to 30 meticais.
Because it already benefits from the government cross-subsidy mechanism, the price of cooking gas (LPG) remains unchanged at 58.18 meticais per kilo.
