Frelimo’s presidential candidate for the upcoming elections, Daniel Francisco Chapo, visited former Mozambican President and Frelimo honorary president, Armando Guebuza, this Tuesday.
During the meeting, they reviewed current national issues and shared ideas about Frelimo in preparation for the upcoming general elections.
It is noteworthy that Armando Guebuza has also served as the Secretary-General and President of Frelimo. Daniel Chapo, currently the Interim Secretary-General of Frelimo and the party’s presidential candidate, underscored the significance of this meeting as a moment for joint reflection on the country, particularly concerning the elections and the forthcoming governance cycle.
One of the focal points of Daniel Chapo’s political discourse is the recognition and consultation of national liberation fighters, as well as all individuals with experience in managing the country and the Frelimo party specifically.
For Daniel Chapo, it is crucial that “young people, women, and men of all ages come together for the development of the country. That is why we aim to be a government for all, one that promotes inclusion and values the elderly.”
