Mozambique: Freight train collides with truck on Sena line in Moatize – photos

A freight train has collided with a lorry at an unguarded level crossing between the neighbourhoods of Liberdade and Primeiro de Maio in Moatize, Tete province.
The accident on the Sena Line occurred around 12:00 noon on Saturday, and caused only material damage to the truck.
Witnesses told Miramar that they were perplexed, because the truck driver came to a full halt in order to assess whether it was safe to cross.
Concluding that it was {safe to cross], he started to cross and, just as he was about to accomplish the passage, the train suddenly appeared, without whistling, and pushed the truck aside.
