Mozambique: Free school books to be distributed throughout the country by the end of March

The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, has promised that free school books will be distributed to students country-wide by the end of March.

Last week, the government admitted that heavy rainfall in many parts of the country was jeopardizing the goal of getting school books to students in the first hundred days of government.

Daniel Chapo says, however, that the goal will be met and that, from this year onwards, new teaching material will be distributed in the last quarter of the previous school year.
