At least three killed as Cyclone Chido crosses Mozambique

Four workers from public company Ports and Railways of Mozambique (CFM) in the centre of the country have been reported missing since Monday (March 1), Notícias reported on Wednesday.
The event occurred on the Nhamitanga-Marromeu branch of the the Sena line, after the means of transport the workers were using (a “drisina”, or hand-car) failed.
According to a note issued by CFM public relations, a search for the missing workers – with members of the local community also involved – was immediately triggered.
The workers concerned were carrying out a technical survey of the railway telecommunications system on the Sena and Machipanda lines.
