Mozambique: Four arrested in connection with Maputo kidnapping – report

Four individuals were arrested on Tuesday charged with kidnapping a Mozambican man from his own commercial establishment in Maputo,, according to a report brought this Monday by ‘O País’.
Of the four individuals detained, two are employees of the victim and were working in the store on the day of the kidnapping.
It is not yet known who the masterminds of the crime are, and the victim remains in captivity, whereabouts unknown.
The police are currently investigating the matter of his location and expect the cooperation of the detainees to this end.
The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) says that the other two involved are merely the executors of the kidnapping.
The Mozambican citizen of Asian origin was kidnapped in broad daylight on Wednesday 27-09 from his commercial establishment on Avenida Fernão de Magalhães, in Maputo city.

Security camera footage shows the kidnappers entering the store posing as customers and threatening other customers and workers with firearms before stealing money and leaving with their kidnap victim.

Quatro indivíduos foram detidos, na terça-feira, acusados de raptar um cidadão asiático dentro do seu estabelecimento na Cidade de Maputo.
Dos quatro indivíduos detidos, dois são funcionários da vítima, que estavam, inclusive, no seu estabelecimento comercial (local dos factos) no dia em que o rapto ocorreu. Ainda não se sabe quem são os mandantes do crime.
A vítima continua em cativeiro, em parte incerta. A Polícia investiga a sua localização e espera a corporação dos detidos para o efeito.
O Serviço Nacional de Investigação Criminal (SERNIC) diz que os outros dois envolvidos são, também, apenas executores do rapto.
O cidadão de origem asiática foi raptado, na quarta-feira,(27.09),na Cidade de Maputo. O crime aconteceu na avenida Fernão de Magalhães, no estabelecimento comercial da vítima, em pleno dia.
No momento dos factos, uma câmara de segurança captou as imagens, que mostram como tudo aconteceu. Os raptores entraram disfarçados de clientes e levaram a vítima.
No estabelecimento, estavam outros clientes e trabalhadores que foram ameaçados com armas de fogo. Os raptores, além da vítima, levaram dinheiro.
