Mozambique: Former Sofala governor Francisco Masquil dies at 64

The former governor of Sofala province, Francisco de Assis Masquil, died this Saturday at his home in the city of Beira, after his health condition deteriorated.
Francisco Masquil was 64 years old and served as governor of Sofala province for nine years, between 1986 and 1994.
According to his brother Roberto Masquil, the former governor had been hospitalised in Beira Central Hospital, but was ultimately discharged.
