Former Judge Counsellor of the Constitutional Council, Orlando António da Graça, died on Monday at the age of 82, a note of condolences from the Constitutional Council informs.
Orlando António da Graça was born in Quelimane, Zambézia province, on May 14, 1942. He graduated in Law from Eduardo Mondlane University and began his duties at the Constitutional Council on November 3, 2003, until August 20, 2014, having completed two terms.
In addition to being a lawyer, Orlando António da Graça was a Member of Parliament and Member of the Standing Commission of the Assembly of the Republic from 1994 to 1998. He was also a jurist at the National Directorate of Taxes and Auditing, coordinating the Fiscal Review, of which he was a director from 1989 to 1992.
