The government on Tuesday (19-03) dismissed Armindo Ngunga from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Northern Integrated Development Agency (ADIN), and appointed Jacinto Loureiro to fill the position.
Ngunga had been in position since April, 2021. He had previously served as Secretary of State for Cabo Delgado province.
Jacinto Loureiro was president of the Municipality of Boane, in the previous term.
Spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, Filmão Suaze, stressed that the movement of staff was not a matter of incompetence or any problems.

In the same session, the cabinet approved a decree approving the structure, organisation and functioning of the Mozambique Financial Intelligence Office (GIFiM).
“The decree aims to adjust the institution to operational instruments on combating money laundering, terrorist financing and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, with the objective of collecting, receiving, requesting, centralising, analysing and disseminating to judicial authorities, police investigating, supervising and monitoring information regarding economic and financial operations likely to substantiate acts of money laundering, financing of terrorism, and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and related crimes,” Suaze explained.
