The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Macamo, this Wednesday travels to the Republic of Uganda to participate from 19-01 to 22-01, representing the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, in the 19th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Third South Summit of the Group of 77 and China (G77+China).
Mozambique’s participation occurs at the beginning of the second year of its mandate as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, which gives the country the opportunity to interact with a variety of member states, as well as to influence debates on the resolutions of the two high-level meetings.
Minister Macamo plans, on the sidelines of the two summits, to hold a number of bilateral meetings and also meet with the Mozambican community residing in Uganda, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
