Mozambique: UNESCO strengthens sexual education for 30,000 pupils

The national director of Public Health Rosa Marlene today announced that five (5) more positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Mozambique. The total positive cases of COVID-19 in the country to date is 70, with 1505 negatives and no deaths .Nine (9) of the 70 total cases have recovered.
The five new positive cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, within “the massive research and testing process” underway “in Afungi,” on the camp of the construction works for the natural gas megaproject in Area 1 of Rovuma basin, Cabo Delgado province, she said.
Rosa Marlene said that none of the newly diagnosed persons shows any symptoms [of the disease] and added that they are all “in isolation at home, in Afungi”.
“Mass testing continues” at the camp, she said.
The northern province of Cabo Delgado has 50 of the total cumulative cases in Mozambique. Maputo City has 15 and Maputo province five.
Of the total 70 cases in the country, nine (9) have fully recovered and are all in Maputo.
To date, Mozambique has tested 1,575 suspected cases in a reference laboratory, 136 in the past 24 hours.
The key Mozambican statistics for Covid-19 are: 70 confirmed cases, of whom nine have made a full recovery, while 61 are regarded as active cases, and no deaths.
