Mozambique: US advises citizens to reconsider travel to Niassa Reserve, surrounding villages

Five people were killed and 28 injured as a result of a traffic accident that occurred yesterday morning on National Road Number One (EN1) in Manhiça district’s 3 de Fevereiro administrative post.
According to Jornal Notícias, the head-on collision involved two minibuses, one with 30 seats and the other with 15. Manhiça district administrator Cristina Mafumo said the crash was caused by irregular overtaking and speeding by one of the vehicles.
Quoted by Jornal Notícias, Mafumo reported that of the 28 injured, four were transported to Maputo Central Hospital with severe injuries, while 18 attended Manhiça District Hospital and the other six were referred to Xinavane Rural Hospital.
