Narciso Pedro, who was the first President of the Municipal Council of Maxixe, died this Saturday of an illness.
Narciso Pedro passed away at Inhambane Provincial Hospital of. He was 76 years old.
Narciso Pedro, who was the first president of the City Council of the city of Maxixe between 1998 and 2013, lost his life after a prolonged illness.
In the last two weeks, the former mayor’s state of health deteriorated, and he was first admitted to the Rural Hospital of Chicuque and later transferred to Inhambane Provincial Hospital.
Because of his illness, Narciso Pedro had not appeared in public recently, Radio Mozambique reports. His last public appearance was on April 27, at the launch of his book, “Traditional Power in Maxixe District: Origin, History and Clan Ancestry”.
