Mozambique: FDS ambush more insurgents in Ibo district – Notícias da Defesa

In November, Defence and Security Forces (FDS) in Ibo district, Cabo Delgado, mounted an operation in a local maternity hospital invaded by the terrorists menacing that part of the country.

According to information obtained by ‘Notícias da Defesa’, the operation was carried out when an unspecified number of insurgents invaded the maternity hospital, vandalising medical equipment and looting goods.

The prompt intervention of the FDS came in collaboration with local residents, who notified them of the presence of armed men in the district.

Thus forewarned, the FDS launched several ambushes on the group, shooting at point-blank range some of the men taking part inside the same maternity hospital.

In addition to killing about seven insurgents, the FDS recovered several heavy weapons they were carrying, seized a motorbike they had used, and neutralised the plan of the so-called ‘al shabbabs’, a brand used by the terrorist group worldwide.

During operations in November, the FDS shot about 60 insurgents in various parts of Cabo Delgado and recovered diverse war materials form major insurgent bases in the bush and on the islands.

FDS emboscam mais insurgentes no distrito de IBO

As Forças de Defesa e Segurança (FDS), em Cabo Delgado, embarcaram durante o mês de Novembro, em Cabo Delgado, no Distrito de Ibo, numa maternidade local que foi invadida por terroristas que assolam aquele canto do País.

Segundo as informações, a operação foi feita, quando um número não especificado de insurgentes, conseguiu invadir a maternidade, tendo vandalizado alguns equipamentos médicos e saqueado bens que se encontrava lá, mas graças a pronta intervenção das Forças de Defesa e Segurança (FDS), em colaboração com as populações locais que alertaram sobre a presença de homens armados naquele distrito.

Importa referir que os militares foram advertidos e fizeram várias emboscadas tendo o grupo posicionado no texto, disparando à queima roupa alguns homens que faziam parte desses elementos, no interior da mesma maternidade.

Além do abate dos cerca de 7 insurgentes, as Forças de Defesa Segurança (FDS), recuperam diversas armas pesadas que eles transportavam, recuperou-se a motorizada que lhes ajudava nas fugas bem como, neutralizou-se o plano dos integrantes dos alshabbabs, uma marca que e usado pelo grupo terrorista a nível mundial.

Durante as operações realizadas no mês de Novembro, as Forças de Defesa e Segurança (FDS), abaterem em média cerca de 60 membros dos insurgentes em diversos distritos de Cabo Delgado, e recuperação de vários materiais bélicos em grandes principais bases dos insurgentes, ao longo das matas e ilhas.
