Rwanda Security Force Commander joins Mozambicans in celebrating 50 years of independence

President Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique has sent a message to his Peruvian counterpart, Martin Vizcarra, on the death of former Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, a Peruvian national.
In his message, Filipe Nyusi said that Javier Pérez de Cuéllar had devoted all his energies to the cause of international peace and security, promoting socio-economic development and the well-being of the peoples of the world.
“In this moment of great anguish caused by this irreparable loss, allow me to convey our sincere condolences to you, Mr. President, to the people and Government of Peru and, through you, to express our solidarity with the bereaved family,” the message reads.
Peruvian Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, Secretary-General of the United Nations between 1982 and 1991, passed away on Wednesday.
