Mozambique: Tourism sector - Digital platforms to pay taxes

Mozambique is participating in the Sanganai World Tourism Expo, underway since Thursday in the Zimbabwean city of Bulawayo. The Fair, which ends on October 1st, will be officially opened today by Minister of Tourism Walter Mzembi, who will welcome exhibitors from around the world.
Mozambique is represented by Mozambique Airlines (LAM), the Ndzou Camp Community Lodge, National Tourism Institute and the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC).
Mozambique hopes to attract tourists from other parts of the world and establish contacts with investors willing to support the development of tourism in the country, particularly in its conservation areas.
On Wednesday, the Mozambican delegation participated in International Tourism Day celebrations headed by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority.
At a seminar on tourism markets in the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Thebe Ikalafang, chairman at Brand Africa and Brand Africa Finance, stressed the need for Africans to pay special attention to tourism because of its potential for job creation.
The SADC region is felt to have enormous unexplored potential, including the Victoria Falls on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
