Mozambique: ETG Steel Solutions joins CCMUSA

The President of the Mozambique-USA Chamber of Commerce (CCMUSA), Onório Manuel, presented ETG Steel Solutions with its CCMUSA Membership Certificate yesterday, 20 June, at an event held at the Beluluane Industrial Park in Maputo.
In a note of good wishes, the president of CCMUSA assured that the link established between the two institutions is strategic in terms of achieving the objectives set for the current four-year period, which include strengthening and promoting partnerships between members and bilateral trade relations between Mozambique and the United States of America. “It is a great satisfaction to have another prestigious company, ETG, in the process of leveraging the Mozambican economy and strengthening relations between the business community on the African continent and in the United States of America,” said Onório Manuel.
For his part, ETG’s Senior Trader, Steve Macleod, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for being part of CCMUSA and is confident that this partnership in the medium and long term could bring satisfactory results for the economy and leverage the process of exports between Mozambique and the USA, which is one of its greatest aspirations, given that one of ETG’s business segments in Mozambique is the production of steel pipes, used in the oil and gas industry and in the construction sector, for which global demand, including in the USA, has been growing.
Representing the CCMUSA Board of Directors, José Castilho emphasised the need to have active and participative members in decision-making processes and in the creation of business opportunities in order to guarantee the achievement of joint objectives between the Chamber and its members.
