Mozambique: Regulation for data centres and cloud computing services includes sanctions

Epsilon Energia Solar, through its Epsilon Mobilidade brand, and Yango, an international leader in digital transportation solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding in Maputo yesterday to boost sustainable electric mobility in Mozambique.
The agreement marks a strategic step in the de-carbonization of the urban transportation sector and the creation of smart energy infrastructures in the country, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The partnership includes the integration of state-of-the-art electric vehicles into Yango’s digital platforms through its transportation partners, as well as the expansion and operation of solar charging networks for urban electric fleets.
Joint initiatives in professional training and technological inclusion are also planned, as well as pilot green mobility projects in strategic cities.
“We are very proud to sign this partnership with Yango, which represents an important leap forward for the sustainable future of urban mobility in Mozambique. This collaboration will accelerate the energy transition of the transportation sector and directly benefit urban communities,” said Cedrick Lemarie, chairman of the board of directors of Epsilon Energia Solar.
Country manager of Yango Ride in Mozambique Mahomed Zameer Adam, highlighted that “Yango is committed to innovative and sustainable mobility solutions in African cities. This partnership will bring together technology, clean energy, and social inclusion, placing Mozambique at the forefront of the sector.”
The memorandum of understanding represents a long-term strategic commitment, aligned with national ambitions for de-carbonization, modernization of public transportation and expansion of clean energy infrastructure.
