Mozambique Elections: Young woman run over by military vehicle has been discharged from hospital – Carta

Maria Madalena Matusse, who was run over by an FADM armoured vehicle during demonstrations against the results of the October 9 elections on Eduardo Mondlane Avenue in Maputo has been discharged and is recovering at home.
Her husband confirmed that she had already been discharged and was “in good health”.
“My wife has already been discharged. She left the clinic on Wednesday last week and is recovering well. At this moment, that is all the information I can provide and for more details we can talk at another time,” Julião Silvestre Chihugule said.
Chihugule’s account contradicts rumours circulating on social media this Monday to the effect that the young woman had died in hospital.
Maria Madalena Matusse was run over by an armoured vehicle on November 27 during a protest on Eduardo Mondlane Avenue in Maputo city.
