Mozambique: 13 external donations agreed in first nine months - worth $735.8 million

Data provided by the District Director of the City of Chimoio yesterday (Thursday, 10-10), indicate that, in the presidential elections, Venâncio Mondlane, supported by Podemos, had a lead of 5,000 votes over Daniel Chapo, from Frelimo.
“The voting process has finished in all assemblies and in all polling stations,” said Afonso dos Santos, District Director of the City of Chimoio.
“We had 318 polling stations and, at this moment [Thursday afternoon], 145 polling stations have been counted for the President of the Republic. For the Assembly of the Republic, 31 polling stations have been processed. For the Provincial Assembly, 40 polling stations have already been processed,” he said.
“At this point in time, of the 145 polling stations already processed, we have the result of 778 votes for candidate Lutero Simango; 20,630 for Daniel Chapo; and 25,035 for Venâncio Mondlane,” dos Santos continued.
As for elections to the Assembly of the Republic, Frelimo had 3,861 votes, Podemos had 3,416, Renamo had 666 and the MDM had 409.
The figures were provided by the STAE Data Processing Centre in the city of Chimoio, capital of Manica province.
