Mozambique: President Chapo lands in Tanzania on his first state visit

Images exclusive to Diário da Zambézia show a vehicle used by Lourenço Fato, the director of the Technical Secretariat of Electoral Administration (STAE) in Quelimane district, completely burned out by individuals so far at large.
The incident occurred around midnight. Fato was still asleep when he felt a bang in the backyard. Suddenly, flames sprung up and hit the vehicle, which was in the garage.
The vehicle was rented, and the owner had apparently requested its return yesterday, but Fato did not comply.
The National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) was called to the scene for forensic work.
Oddly, the STAE director’s house has agents of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique permanently guarding it.
It should be recalled that Lourenço Fato is seen as one of the key players in the supposed “shuffling” of the recent electoral process, culminating in the lack of signatures on ‘editais’ at the voting tables.
