Miramar reports that the atmosphere has been tense in Moatize since 6:00 a.m. this Thursday (10-10) morning.
The police fired several shots and threw tear gas, affecting the population and some of the journalists at the scene.
The situation results from the population’s suspicions of possible electoral fraud.
Some traders were forced to close their stalls and traffic was restricted for a few hours when the population set up barricades in the road.
