Mozambique Elections: Provincial Elections Commission vehicle set on fire in Quelimane

Individuals so far unidentified set fire to a vehicle belonging to the Zambézia Provincial Election Commission in Quelimane’s Torrone Velho neighbourhood in the early hours of last Friday (02-08).
The spokesperson for the Provincial Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in Zambézia, Sidner Lonzo, announced the incident at a press conference.
Lonzo explained that two police officers were guarding the institution at the time of the incident.
Lonzo said that the reason behind the fire was still unknown, but stressed that investigations to clarify the situation were underway.
