Mozambique: EU Election Observation Mission meets with Chapo - AIM

Frelimo’s interim secretary-general and presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, will be visiting the Portuguese Republic from Friday, June 28, to June 30.
This visit comes after Chapo was presented in the country’s ten provinces and toured other countries in the southern African region.
According to a press release distributed by Frelimo, the trip is part of what it considers the “strengthening” of traditional and historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the party that has governed Mozambique since national independence and the main political parties in Portugal, the the Social Democrats (PSD) and the Socialists (PS).

In addition to meetings with “the leaderships” of the two political parties, Daniel Chapo will will meet members and supporters of Frelimo and the Mozambican community in Lisbon and Porto.
