Mozambique: Tourism sector - Digital platforms to pay taxes

Wednesday saw the handover ceremony of the Tourism portfolios between the outgoing minister Eldevina Materula and the newly appointed Minister of Economy, Basílio Zefanias Muhate, who takes over Tourism.
The event took place in the building of the former Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Culture portfolio will transit to the new Ministry of Education and Culture, whose Minister is yet to be appointed.

On the Facebook page of the former Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it is stated that the ceremony took place as part of the administrative restructuring determined by the government, which resulted in the creation of the new Ministry of Economy, which now includes the tourism sector.
In her speech, outgoing minister Eldevina Materula thanked everyone for their support during her term in office and wished the new leadership success.
In turn, the newly appointed Minister of Economy, Basílio Zefanias Muhate, expressed his commitment to continuing the projects initiated in tourism, and is counting on everyone’s collaboration for the sustainable development of the economy and the country.
The event was attended by the former deputy minister of Culture and Tourism and members of the Advisory Board of the former MICULTUR, who witnessed the transition of leadership and expressed their best wishes for the new minister’s success.
