The Provincial Executive Council of Manica (CEPM) has identified eight areas, with a combined area of 50 hectares, for establishing industrial parks and accommodation for investors requesting space for setting up agricultural and livestock product processing industries.
Announcing the decision, spokesman for the XI ordinary session of CEPM, Firmino Jaqueta said the eight areas were in the districts of Sussundenga, Machaze, Mossurize, Gondola, Guro, Manica, Macate and Báruè. The remaining four districts – Chimoio, Vanduzi, Tambara and Macossa – are still in the process of identifying sites.
The information emanates from the XI CEPM ordinary session, held this Tuesday, which focused on the need to establish industrial parks so as to leverage value chains in the various crops grown in the province.
Governor of Manica Francisca Tomás wants every district to have an industrial park to attract potential investors.
