The Directorate of Civil Identification (DIC) in Maputo city today closed its KaMpfumu service desk on Avenida Eduardo Mondlane (next to the National Public Salvation Service) following the diagnosis last Friday of two Covid-19 positive cases.
According to the press release issued on Sunday by the National Directorate of Civil Identification (DNIC), the facilities will be closed to the public for disinfection and the testing of employees.
DNIC counters in the capital could constitute a new source of Covid-19 transmission as a result of failure to comply with the preventive measures.
A few days ago, at the service desk on Avenida 24 de Julho, ‘Carta’ noted the absence of a thermometer for measuring temperature and of soap and water or disinfectant for hand hygiene, and saw some employees not wearing masks.
