Mozambique concluded yesterday its participation in the 51st Session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Mozambican delegation was headed by the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Mateus Saize, and also included Faizal Cassamo, Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faial Cassano, and the Permanent Representative to the OIC, Ilda Trigo Raivoso, and other officials.
Mozambique’s participation in the 51st Session of the OIC Council of Ministers is based on the framework of the government’s development strategy, which aims to promote, establish and strengthen friendly relations with peoples, states and international organizations to mobilize these actors with a view to implementing the national development agenda.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Mozambique signed a Joint Communiqué on Saturday on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Mozambique and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
