Mozambique: AzgoDialogar' forum brings together cultural agents in Maputo
A delegation from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has been in Cuba since last Saturday on a mission aimed at exchanging experiences and seeking partnerships in the arts and culture field.
The delegation, comprising the directorate of the Institute for Socio-Cultural Research (ARPAC), the Fund for Artistic and Cultural Development (FUNDAC) and the National Institute of Visual Audio and Cinema (INAC), is seeking to identify and develop partnerships in priority sectors with a view to boosting national arts and culture in research, audio-visual and cinema areas, as well as forging artistic-cultural agency contacts.
The mission will visit projects and institutions operating in audio-visual and cinema management, marketing and promotion sectors, with the aim of gaining experience in the organisation of cycles, shows and festivals of cinema.
In Cuba, according to a Ministry of Culture and Tourism press release received yesterday by AIM, the delegation also hopes to gain insight into film legislation, which is still a challenge for Mozambique.
The Mozambican delegation will visit Cuban tourist centres and develop working contacts with the Cuban Culture Fund executive, the National Restoration Centre and the National Arts Centre, the statement reads.
The Mozambican delegation is also due to visit the Culture System Cultural Centre and analyse proposals for cooperation with FUNDAC.
The Mozambican mission results from President Nyusi’s visit to Cuba last June, which resulted in the signing of cooperation agreements in the culture and tourism fields, now being materialised and implemented, the communique adds.
