Mozambique: Venâncio Mondlane considers his denial of entry into Angola a "public shame"

Minister of National Defence Cristóvão Chume has ordered all sectors to present concrete proposals that directly benefit citizens, employees and military personnel serving in Mozambique.
In the first session of the Consultative Council of the Ministry of National Defence, which also served as a presentation for the reappointed Minister of National Defence, Cristóvão Chume welcomed and thanked the sector’s staff for their commitment and reaffirmed his commitment to continue serving the state and the nation.
At the meeting , Chume instructed each defence body to present proposals for actions with a direct impact on the lives of citizens, employees and military personnel and service providers engaged in various missions throughout the country.
Chume demanded a functional analysis aimed at adapting structures to the current and future challenges of national security and defence. “Only in this way will we be effectively serving the interests of those we serve as agents of the Mozambican state,” he stressed.
The meeting of the members of the Ministry of Defence Advisory Board was attended by national directors, advisors and representatives of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique and the civic services.
