Mozambique recorded 53 more positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced today (June 2). Of this number, 47 new cases are from Nampula province. The other six are from Cabo Delgado province and Maputo City.
From Monday to Tuesday, 269 suspected cases were tested in the country.
A new patient was considered cured, bringing the number of recoveries from 97 to 98.
With the new update, the cumulative number of people infected with coronavirus in Mozambique rises to 307
The active cases stand at 206 with 98 recoveries and two deaths. However, there is one case missing [to complete the cumulative number of 307]: it is that of the patient who was infected with coronavirus and died. This case is not on record because, according to the Ministry of Health, the patient died of another disease.
