Mozambique: Chapo relaunches coastal shipping, announces fiscal incentives- AIM report

The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA)on Wednesday met with Russian company Yandex, which specializes in fleet control and management technology, in order to learn about a mobile phone taxi ordering service called Yango which the company offers.
Yandex is one of the largest IT companies in Russia. It has invested in urban mobility in more than ten African countries and has a turnover of over US$12 billion per year.
The service already operates in 19 countries in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Senegal and Zambia.
Yandex is in Mozambique looking for local business partners to help launch the service.
