Mozambique Elections: Podemos calls for recount of votes - AIM report

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, will address the nation today at 7:00 p.m., on the subject of the Situation of Public Calamity obtaining in the country.
According to a note from the Presidency, the communication from the head of state is being made in the context of the current Covid-19 situation.
In the last address to the nation, on the 19th of January, President Nyusi decided to maintain the decree 34/2021 of the 20th of December, on measures to prevent Covid-19, but with some exceptions, the highlight being the reopening of all beaches in the country between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m..
Filipe Nyusi also announced that a booster dose of Covid-19 vaccine was being administered to people aged 60 and more, and that it would also be administered to pregnant women.
The new decree also provided for the reduction of the quarantine period from 14 to seven days; extension of the opening hours of commercial establishments; extension of the number of visitors to hospitalised patients from one to two persons; and permission to visit prisoners twice a month.
