Mozambique: Beira sees 10 femicides in five months - O País

The Mozambican health authorities on Wednesday (October 28) announced tow more further deaths from the Covid-19 respiratory disease, bringing the known death toll to 91.
The two latest victims were a Mozambican 50-year-old woman, who died in Cabo Delgado province, and a 63-year-old man, also Mozambican, who died in Maputo province.
The country reporte this Wednesday (October 18) a further 142 cases of of Covid-19, as a result of 1,253 tests, bringing the cumulative number of positive cases to 12,415.
The City of Maputo recorded the highest number of cases :81, corresponding to 57% of the total of new cases reported today across the country. It was followed by Maputo Province, with 27 newly diagnosed cases (19%).
Mozambique also reported 503 more patients who are considered as fully recovered from the disease.This brings the total number of recoveries to 9,785.
The country currently has 2,535 active cases.
