The provinces of Nampula and Cabo Delgado, in northern Mozambique, are the ones that register the highest number of infections with the new coronavirus, with 235 and 145 cases, respectively.
The health authorities also announced the death of a person who was said to have recovered from the infection by the new coronavirus, considering that the victim died of other diseases.
According to the authorities, the 88-year-old man was admitted to a health unit on the 15th, and tests were performed on the 22nd and 24th, with negative results.
“We performed two tests and both came back negative and, therefore, according to the World Health Organisation criteria, he was already recovered”, said Rosa Marlene.
