Mozambique: “Country’s current situation calls for FADM strategic planning” – Defence Minister

Minister of National Defence Atanasio Mtumuke says that the situation in Mozambique calls for the Defence and Armed Forces to plan strategically for preserving the peace in order to achieve sustainable development.
Speaking on Wednesday in Maputo at the closing ceremony of the 20th Coordinating Council of the Ministry of National Defence, Mtumuke said that the national defence sector was refining strategies to guide the activities of the upcoming 2020-2024 governance cycle.
Minister Mtumuke used the occasion to deliver a positive assessment of the defence sector’s performance in the current 2015-2019 five-year period.
