Mozambique’s 12-month average inflation stayed at 3.91% in January 2019, according to statistics released on Monday by the country’s National Statistics Institute (INE).
The figure was the same as in December 2018, according to the figures, and follows a downward trend registered every month since May 2017.
Year-on-year inflation in January stood at 3.78% in January, while monthly inflation stood at 0.65%.
Monthly inflation in 2018 was always below 1% and was negative in June and July.
According to the INE, Mozambique’s annual accumulated inflation was 3.52%.
