Mozambique: Attorney-General suggests freezing assets of kidnap victims - AIM report

Mozambique’s Ministry of Labour and Social Security begins this Monday, in Maputo, the consultation of workers, employers and other actors within the scope of the review of the Domestic Work Regulation approved by Decree no. 40/2008, of 23 November.
According to a document from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the implementation of mandatory social security for the class forms part of the government’s agenda on domestic workers.
The meeting is also expected to address the clarification of procedures for carrying out labour inspections in domestic workplaces, as well as defending the rights of domestic workers against mistreatment and harassment, and conditions regarding vacation and weekly time off.
