Mozambique: Teachers threaten to boycott final exams - AIM

Mozambique’s Health Authorities declared on Monday that the country’s capital Maputo registered community transmission of COVID-19, following the northern cities of Nampula and Pemba.
Contributing over 25 percent of all COVID-19 cases in the country, the city of Maputo has met all the requirements to be declared as a community transmission spot according to the criteria by World Health Organization, said the Health Minister Armindo Tiago on a press conference in Maputo.
On Monday, Mozambique registered 142 new cases of COVID-19, the largest increase in a single day since the first case was detected on March 22 in the country.
Of the new cases, 78 are from the city of Maputo. 139 of them are Mozambicans and three are foreigners.
The country reported 2,411 cumulative cases of COVID-19, with 860 recoveries and 16 deaths.
