Mozambique’s resumed maritime cabotage (coastal shipping) sector will handle just over 614,000 tons of containerized cargo this year.
The information was advanced this Monday on Radio Mozambique’s ‘Cards on the Table’ programme by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Janfar Abdulai.
Minister Abdulai said that the maritime cabotage project would generate 60 direct jobs in its two-year implementation phase, possibly rising to 150 jobs over four years.
