President Daniel Chapo said today, in his first speech as head of state, that political dialogue has already begun with the reforms planned for the transformation of the Constitutional Council into a Constitutional Court.
He guaranteed the availability of school books in printed and digital format and improved working conditions for teachers.
“Education is not just an investment, but the future of Mozambique,” he said.
The new president said that healthcare must be a state guarantee, promising to expand basic services, mobile brigades, and the construction of hospitals for the treatment of complex illnesses in rural areas.
He also guaranteed to improve access to medicines and work equipment for doctors.
“The Defence and Security Forces will see a re-equipment in infrastructure and technological material to combat terrorism with specialized training,” President Chapo pledged.
