Minibus (‘chapa’) carriers operating from the Zimpeto bus terminal stopped work this morning in protest at the rise in fuel costs, the new tariff for which came into force on Saturday.
Notícias Online has learned that the stoppage includes other routes in the Greater Maputo Region.
There is no passenger transport at the Zimpeto terminal.
According to a driver who operates on the Costa do Sol-Zimpeto route, chapa operators are demanding a fare increase of three or four meticais.
