Mozambique: Korea pledges a billion dollars for development projects - AIM report

Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM) will invest more than seven billion meticais (around US$10.9 million at current exchange rates) in the rehabilitation and expansion of the second oil terminal at the port of Beira, in Sofala, next year.
The president of the CFM Board of Directors, Agostinho Langa, said that dredging would play a large role in the process, which is aimed at increasing cargo handling capacity.
He explained that steps were simultaneously being taken to select a contractor specializing in the construction of port infrastructure.
The Secretary of State in the province of Sofala, Celina Chamutota, encouraged CFM in its investment in improving cargo handling efficiency.
